Hi, One and All.:)

Whilst I am still able to do so.
I would like too thank Nev,

for his past postings,
of wit ,and many links that
have fed my knowledge,
as I`ve Lurked.

Thank you again Nev.

And IF I may?,
I would like too share a few
thoughts,

Alfa Romeo WOT. Forum,
is by its very nature open too,
the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.(Now where did that come from?)

I struggle alot of late,
though if I read something
which strikes a cord/discord.
I jot it down.

The 2 short poems by
Omar Khyam, (KHYYAM)
Have helped me alot,
what thinks you?(reader.)

1,

The Moving Finger writes; and, having writ,
Moves on: nor all your Piety nor Wit
Shall lure it back to cancel half a Line,
Nor all your Tears wash out a Word of it.

2.
The hands of fate play our game
We the players are given a name
Some are tame, others gain fame
Yet in the end, we’re all the same.

John a simple Luddite.

My favourite verse is probably the most popular:-

"A Book of Verses underneath the Bough,
A Jug of Wine, a Loaf of Bread--and Thou,
Beside me singing in the Wilderness,
And oh, Wilderness is Paradise enow."

I did like Spike Mlligan's version of the intro though:-

"The moving finger writes
And having writ
Moves on
To write another bit"

Hi,PaulR,

A nice choice,
as for Spike Milligan.
"what can I say?"
just a genius.
Of his day.
