All.. I know that Alfa say to use Selina racing oil for the Alfa GT. Is this the best oil to use or is there a better off the shelf oil that can be used instead? Oilman are you out there???????

The recommended spec is 10W60 synthetic.
Selenia Racing is not the only one.
Castrol make two different 10W60 oils: "Edge 10W60" & "Edge Sport 10W60". of those two, "Edge 10W60" is the better oil.
You can buy direct from Castrol or mail order from Halfords. They don't usually stock it in the shops.

Agip also make one, not easy to find though.

I've always used Selenia in mine, but had it serviced at Days MK (who seemed excellent) last week and they replaced it with Castrol Magnatec - said it made no difference.

I hope that's true!

I always used Magnatec in my 156. It had done 76k when I sold it and the engine was mint just not sure if its good enough for the V6

We've been using the stuff Ned @ Autolusso use. It's 10/60 racing but this stuff has really minimised the oil usage and stayed really clean over 12k miles:cool:

I forget the name but will have a look.

Valvoline has always been a good option. Always used it in my bikes.
