Its not gonna help you much but I think metallic red in the sun and Alfa red on a dull day! How bright and sunny is it where you live??

Alfa Red definitely. Especially that you won't have salt on the roads in the winter. Although, if you can afford, I'd go for 8C Red.

I'm finding it a bit difficult to see the difference between the Alfa red and Metallic red when searching the car sales sites. Either I am going colour blind or there isn't a great deal of difference between the two. And I haven't seen the Metallic red in the flesh as yet. I know its meant to be darker.
First time I drove the Alfa Red I loved the colour, but it was a wet winters day so tommorow I will head down to the dealer and see if I like the Alfa Red in the sunshine.
For me its a five year decision so I just want to get it right.

Cheers everyone. My dealer only has the Alfa Red so I will go with that. I have seen the car in dull conditions and sunshine and still looks really good, even better than the first time I saw it.

You know that the Dealer could get the Metallic Red if you wanted it !!! They want a sale right !!

IMHO - the Metallic Red is a far better choice, its more elegant and in sunny Aust (even in cold Canberra) that colour just sparkles

We (myself and the Financial Controller) are now in the throws of deciding between this and another colour .... negotiations are not progressing smoothly :(
