opened up the bonnet today to admire the engine, lifted up my head and whacked it on the dam grill:rolleyes:
im going to have to remember about that:eek:
how many others have done the same?:cheese:

i think i've done that about 500 times only had my alfa 6 months

i reckon i might bubblewrap mine then just in case:eek: :D

I often wondered about the series one 156 grille, what would happen if someone was in the engine bay and the struts failed on the bonnet, probably feel like you've been stabbed in the back:eek:

ok, we need bubblewrap, and a broom handle to keep the bonnet up:D

I have done this, as well as banging my head on the boot catch of my QV.

Everytime I open the bonnet I remind myself to be careful of the grill....doesn't always work of course :rolleyes:

You'll get a couple of funny looks initially, but people should get used to you walking around with the wrapped head. Don't even think of wrapping the grill - Ital Design would not approve. :D

There's obviously a design fault with the car which makes it far too dangerous to work on for the average joe, it should have special instructions (actually I think it is mentioned in the owners handbook!)...anyone up for doing a blog and getting Alfa to see the error of their ways?

Exactly why i'm considering a Cadamuro grille.

Bonnet goes up, grille stays down.

the bang on the head must have done me good, ive been under the bonnet a few times this morning and i remembered not to do it again:lol:
