Grrrrr. Had my car broken into a few weeks ago, through the driver's door window. Quickest any of the glass replacement companies could do was 6 weeks (the glass needs to be sourced from Japan), I found a well recommended specialist breaker who had one available. I ordered it from him, it was either pay pal or cheque. I don't like pay pal so I sent him the cheque. and waited. A few days after the cheque cleared I rang his mobile. No answer so I e-mailed him. A day later I got an e-mail back to say the original one got broken, and he had sourced a replacement which would be couriered to me Monday. Which didn't arrive. I e-mailed him on Wednesday, he mailed back Thursday saying he had a problem getting them to agree to transport glass, he had found a different courier and it would be with me later Thursday or Friday (today). Guess what? No window. So yet another weekend goes by when I can't get my bl**dy car back on the road, the weather is getting worse, and I'm busy for the next few weekends so I don't know when I'm going to get around to fixing it. Aaarghhh. Why don't people just do what they say they are going to do? If I'd known it was going to take this long, I would have driven to his place and picked the s*dding window up myself!

I can't remember the name of the site, but there's a website where you enter your details and that of the part and the breakers get back to you.

It basically sends your request out to their database of breakers. There could be an RX-7 being broken just round the corner, or within an hours drive.

You've got nothing to lose besides breakers contacting you.
