Where to go from a GTA GT 3.2

I've decided the next car from my GT 3.2 will be a C63 AMG Coupé.

I've driven it and it's a serious car!

One of the local gangsters round our way has one. Looks and sounds mean.

If I didn't need a semi-practical car then I would give it serious consideration along with an RS4 and an M3.
For the typer of car that i need i could replace the GTA only with a Insignia VXR.
Good choice that! There are 3 parked in our works car park every day and always a joy seeing all three parked in a line.

I agree with NA, have a look at some 'left' field kinda cars, that Insignia VXR is very very nice, almost too nice to be a Vauxhall

There you go, corrected that for you. The only way up from an Alfa 3.2 is a Maserati, simples. Or an Alfa 4C of course.
I'm yet to be convinced until I drive a 4C.

I find the Maserati 3200 and 4200 too dated in the cabin.

Yes the C63 is a brute but it's a stonker!

You'd have to pay me to drive a Vauxhall!
Guy who owns a chippy round the corner has one of those AMG's in white. I actually think it looks class, and a bit of a sleeper!! Good choice!
Porsche? You can get a lot of 911 or Cayman S for C63 money. Depends if you want poise and balance or brute force and burnouts.
You see I've never been a porsche fan. Neighbour has a brand new 911 and I've never been that keen on the looks. Although this does look like the nicest one yet.

Just turning the key gives an awesome rumble just like the busso does. :)
How about Audi RS4/6? Skyline R35?

I'm not that much of a fan either, but they are always worth considering as they drive so well, plus they hold their value too which means they're not such an expensive ownership proposition. I would love a 944 turbo and I should have bought one years ago, they're now twice the price.

Monaro VXR?
If I wanted to move on from a GTA SW, I'd have to have something of a similar cost which had the same qualities....

And there isn't anything.

Hold on until you've driven a 4C then

And the acres of plastic in interior of the Merc......? At least Masers have style. Not a fan of Mercs at all myself. Porsche Caymans are quite nice though IMO.

He must sell a lot of chips? maybe i'm in the wrong job........
I'm going to go against the trend here.

I think I want something with less power, and more feel next. I think i'll end up in something a bit older, like a DC2 Integra Type R, 145 Cloverleaf, or e30 325 or something similar.

Whilst I like my GTA a lot, I don't really love her like I did my 145, I think its due to the fact that I could ring my 145s neck, on the road and not be doing stupid speeds. Do that in the GTA and you are deep into licence losing speeds, also feel like the GTA doesnt have that much "feel".

Lol he must do!! Because he has a range rover sport and a jag as well!! All top spec and personalised plates!!
I think I will go V8 next. My two current favorites are somewhat different though, Maserati gransport and Lexus isf, both nice and rare. I think I would get bored more easily with one of the more obvious German V8 offerings. They are more of a target for the criminal fraternity too, which could be more than a nuisance.
c63 is my favorite from them though, just because of the noise!

Still like my GTA though and would keep it as well if I could when the time comes, but space/wife would probably rule it out..

In harbouring a bit of a soft spot for a Range Rover by Overfinch.

I saw one at a show a few years back with I think an Audi V10 diesel 5.0 in it.

Mad as a box of frog! But hugely pleasing to look at and stupidly fast, in a straight line.

Second choice as a more straight forward change would be a Merc C36 AMG.

I agree, C36 AMG gets my vote.

But i'm not getting rid of the GTA, so its irrelevant......
No one mentioned a Renault RS265?
Quirky, Powerful, not mainstream, great handling... now in a turbocharged form.... FWD too..

But I'd like the C63 Saloon. still very Q car.

Having chucked around a Caymen R and S, its a good car to have if I am looking for handling and everyday use.... but the lack of space will mean I'd have to get an SUV or something if I am driving the family
