Dear all,

I'm just wondering where can we find the plate that states the build date of the car? (147 GTA) As I am aware that a few dealers advertising their car as a 2005 model but actually it might be 2005 registered but the car was built on 2004.:tut:

thanks in advance for the info :)

There will be a date on the orange tab on the seatbelt that may help. e.g. my car was registered in the UK in July 2004, date on setbelts says May 2004.

Its a fair point, I bought mine in 2005 at 1 year old and it has 330mm brakes, in the showroom there was a brand new unregistered car that still had the smaller brakes and older handbook so must have been arround for ages.

Build date will be found on the drivers door by deducting 10 years from the 'change airbags' date.

Also the plastic mouldings and seat belts all have dates from the month or so prior to build.

The actual build date can be gotten by punching the VIN number into the Eper parts system.

I would do it for you but I have mislaid the DVD.

BTW dont post your VIN on a website!
