Combination of things really - price, origin and especially fair trade produce (thinking Bananas here but would seek this stuff out in other product lines)

I don't want to have to cruise the supermarkets for it though - wastes fuel etc., etc.

Need some more options Mike, such as non-GM etc.

I prefer to buy local, organic produce from local veg stalls and markets. It's fresher, tastier, and supports your local community...

... win/win situation.

I grow my own vegies and my parents also grow vegies.
The fertile delta I live on grows incredible produce so I also buy locally and unsprayed if possible.

I prefer local organic, but obviously with things like oranges that's not always possible :p

 As I saw this Thread, directly below it was Happy Mans 'The Length of it' thread.

Meaning I read it as 'When buying fruit and veg, what is your top priority? The length of it!'. Ah, fun times, that just wipes me out...

But other, as I don't buy fruit or veg. The healthy chap I am!

European produced (French/Italian/Spanish) stuff or
French DOM/TOM produce.

I always buy organic food, as inorganic
food wouldn't actually be edible, would it.

My main priority is getting in and out of the supermarket as quickly as possible.
Well said that man.

"Guerilla Shopping" as I like to call it. ;)
