Hi folks. I only seem to pop around when I have a problem :lol: and lurk around the rest of the time.

Recently a high pitched noise has developed at the front driver side wheel. This starts after about 7miles of driving and stops when I apply brakes. It sounds as if it is metal rubbing against metal.

Is this an indication that the wheelbearing is on its way out or could it be something else?

Sounds like your brake is binding. If your wheel bearing sounds like metal on metal you shouldn't be driving the car as you risk the wheel coming loose and overtaking you!

Pads binding or worn out or back plate touching the disc. All easily fixable!

Thanks guys! As always a solution to my stupid questions. I'll pop her up this weekend and check the brakes, maybe order some new ones just in case and fit them at the same time.
