The rear 17" teledial wheels on my Spider seem to sit in far too deep (not just because of the slight camber). I was thinking about buying some wheel spacers to correct this problem, but I know very little about them.

I only want to push out the rear wheels, as the fron seems to sit perfectly. Will this have any negative affects on my car?

Actually, I could push out the front too if that would minimize any ill-effects, but I hear it ****s the steering geometry?

If you widen just the rear track you will increase understeer.

Actually, after searching through the forum, this seems to be universally accepted as a bad idea. I don't want to ruin the ride of my car...

How about I ask this; can I fit spacers, front and rear, with no ill affects?

You can fit spacers front & rear.

You would obviously need longer bolts to suit, including locking bolts.

Most aftermarket wheels use a different offset to std and have the same effect.

I have spacers on mine, because for some reason when I put some teledials on mine, the front offside just clipped the brake caliper every revolution.
I cannot really tell any difference in the handling of the car.
I did put spacers on all four corners though.
