I am trying to contact BMC on 01325 300520, this is the only number I have but it is not being recognised. Does anyone know what's going on, have they moved premises or got a new number??

I have a very poorly Alfa in need of attention, thanks.

Failed it's MOT back in March and with the cost of fuel I declaired it SORN until now.

Failed on emissions so it needs a new lambda and some petrol treatment to sort that problem. Also needs a new track rod end and a upper front suspension arm. rear wheel bearing is making a racket too but they didn't pick up on that for some reason. Needs it's 84,000k service too.

Thinking of getting it running sweet then selling it. And when that day comes I'll cry my heart out. I could get another one day but it will never be the same as this one

Old V6s aren't going for much more than £1k at the mo.. If you want maximum cash back, then break it. Fixing it and selling it will probably cost you more than just selling it as it is. Unfortunately, with the price of fuel at the moment they are worth nothing :(

Gutted to hear that Pud

I had the work done and she's back on the road. Took her to FAST in Stockton. They were very helpful and very reasonably priced. I had a new track rod end & upper suspension arm fitted. Also had som repairs done to a leaky power stearing pipe and a headlight bulb reseated. An interim service and MOT and it all came in at a little over £300. I did suply the track rod end myself though. Very rerasonable I thought and nice people to boot.

I've had some interest at work for her too. Going to be sad to se her go but your right, with the way fuel is at the moment it's a nightmare just running her.

Good to hear you got good service from FAST. It's reasuring to know there's somewhere with a good reputation when the inevitable time comes for a trip to the Alfa doctor:lol:

I've been to FAST a couple of times, very helpful indeed and problem sorted 1st time, on both occaisions. :)

We have 3 options that immediately spring to mind, in addition to the "local spannerman".

1. FAST, which I will use for any specialist work, a bit pricey but worth it. Just like L'Oreal! :D

2. Lyles, who I will not use, unless totally stuck. :(

3. Aleaxanders. I would not use a dealer unless it was for warranty work or pr pro-bono, the latter of which is is extremely unlikely.
