They are 17"x7" from a 147 and are the wrong offset for a GTV.

GTV use ET30, those 147 wheels will be ET40 (may be ET40.5, but they are close to 40).
So a 10mm spacer will bring them out to normal for a GTV.
The problem is that 10mm spacers won't be hubcentric, so 12mm is about as small as you want to go.

Why can't a 10mm spacer be hub centric? if its 58.1mm to shuffle onto the hub what difference does the spacer depth make?

With only 10mm of thickness there isn't enough to have a deep enough recess in the back and the lip out the front.

Weather wasn't up to taking wheels off but from what i could see looks like 5mm spacers and 7ish mm in the front!!!!, very strange, will have a better look soon, David C you said 12 is as small as i should go, is there any prob in going to 15mm that you are aware of?.

15mm should be fine too.
