I know we are littered with cambelt threads, but thought it would be useful to list the things which need to be changed when changing one.

My 147 is a 1.6 and needs booking in now (my warranty expires in a month). I am going to ring the garage later this week to book her in. Do I need to ask for anything other than what is listed here?

Cambelt (obviously)
Tensioner
Idler
Variator (getting noisier)

Add an aux belt with associated tensioners etc
Some people say change the water pump as this can fail.
Also, some people say cam bearings (can't remember the name).

Wait for more techy guys to come on and advise, like CJ Romeo or DavidC
