It's the outside air temperature sensor.Up here in Scotland its normally covered in ice!!

When a noticed this 'nipple' type protrusion below drivers side wing mirror.....:confused:

There isn't one on the passengers side....:confused:

WHAT IS IT FOR ?????

Answers on a postcard PLEASE.....:D

The temp sensor must be located outside so that its the same temperature as the out side air.

Wind chill is not a factor when driving as an object has to be warmer than the outside air to feel it; if you get my drift?
