Does using super unleaded/increase in RON make any difference to performance or MPG? Anyone tried it? I filled up with 95 when I bought it last week then when r:confused: eading the manual it states something like...Only use petrol over 95 RON..Does that include 95 RON or not?

I did make the mistake of using standard petrol once in my V6 and got about 50 miles less out of the tank :(
Higher octane will always cost more but the increase in millage always made it a no brainer for me :)

Ah my old V6 GT i do still miss it  as im sure my local fuel station does too :D

You won't harm the engine using either, as is mapped for 95 RON.

Try them both, calculate the extra cost and see if you get an increase in MPG.

You should be able to work out which is cheaper in the long run then.

I use V power in my JTS.

Better cleaning additives and less chance of pinking. Feels perkier at lower revs with the V power compared to 95 RON. Don't use my car enough to worry to much about mpg, but the better stuff gives slightly better mpg on a long run.

I think the JTS engines are quite sensitive when it comes to fuel quality.
