What is the correct running temperature for the 156/Twin spark please? The reason for asking is that my car (a SW if it makles any difference) seems to take ages in this cold weather to warm up and de-mist (hence why I mentioned that the car is a SW).

During the Summer it ran (I'm guessing now as I'm not going out to take a look) at around 70 degrees, but today it just managed to get above 50! In traffic it climbs and the fan does kick in and the engine does cool, so I don't have an overheating problem. Maybe the thermostat is stuck open or even removed?

Thanks for any replies.
