I am toying with the idea of selling my 58 plate, black, Brera S 2.2 but have no idea of what it is worth.
It is a very rare car because it is a 2.2 with the leather dash, it has the mango mod 4, is in very good codition with a FSH and has done 62K miles.
I am not sure how all these factors add up to give a price I should be after, does anybody have any ideas?
Thanks,

Robert.

Private sale I would think about £13,000 but I think that could be the upper end. That's subjective and based on some figures seen on AutoTrader over time. I think the mileage drives the 2.2 down quite considerably, so would have thought £9-10k without S spec and, no doubt to someone who'd know/ appreciate the exclusivity of it, the leather dash.

Quite high mileage, I saw one today with 10K on the clock for 16,500 so probably knock 500 quid off for every 10,000 miles over average it has done is a good guide. Probably about 13K private, 14ish on a dealer forecourt.

I;d keep it if I were you, lovely car :)

Cool nickname by the way ;)

As always the old adage applies in that it is worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it. As a guide, when I bought mine 6 months ago when there were several private ones available. The prices varied from 15 to 16k. Mine had only just done 14k miles and after negotiation cost me £15250 although i did spend a further £250 getting the wheels back to "as new" condition.

Thanks.

It is a lovely car but I am doing about about 30k miles a year in it, I am thinking that if I keep on racking up the mileage it will be worth next to nothing and it seems a shame to run such a nice car into the ground.

You make a good argument for getting rid :(

I know, it is a real heart verses head thing, I love the car, it is the best car I have ever had but it makes no logical sense to keep it. :(
I can imagine how you feel, I picked up my new car today, drove it back from london and I'm absolutely loving it, it's practically the same as yours just not an S

Red S on eBay with 20k on the clock for £15k from a dealer.

The mileage on a petrol is a little off putting. Would be less worried on a diesel.

Would love to switch to a black 2.2 S at some point.

What about getting something cheap for the commute and keeping the miles down on the S? That's my strategy, as I want to keep mine. Western in Perth have a couple of V6's at £19,995....

How is a V6 a cheap option when doing 30k per year?!

62k miles is high and you are right about selling before you add another 50% to that! - The £13k figures seem a bit optomistic to me though.

This 13k mile example on 58 plate 2.2s has recently sold - Would assume for £15k. Alfa Romeo : ALFA Romeo Brera S 2.2 13600 miles only. 2008

My brother just sold his low mileage 2.2 Brera - Alfa Romeo : Beautiful Alfa Brera 2.2 JTS SKYVIEW Low milage and stunning condition Got £8800 for that!

If you want it to sell in current market I would say £11.5k to start but expect to take less!

This is the problem, we all believe our cars are worth more than they are. And reality hurts...

I still like to believe I can break £10k on mine. But it's an 06 diesel with 74k on the clock! The positives are that it's had the dpf removed and remapped, been lowered on eibach springs, has perfect 19" S alloys, pro drive mud flaps, red callipers, sat nav and the tracking sorted by Peter Cambridge the Brera S guy.

It's practically a tractor S!

Which is why I probably won't change and stick with it.

I sold my 2006 2.4 SV back in September 2009 - 44k miles on the clock, Brera s exhausts and an Autodelta filter and modified air box. Got £12,300!

Now 2 years down the line what are they really worth? Seeem to be maintaining an Ok value in light of market!?

I know. It was just before I got mine and would have bitten your hand off at the time had it not just sold....

My problem was the guy before me didn't seem to bother with getting any of the stuff done that could have been covered by warranty. So I spent a lot fixing all the niggles and it's now pretty much perfect, but will never see that cash again.

I'd quite like a petrol car, but I'd want it lowering, S wheels, red callipers etc, so would have to spend on it making the change not worth it, unless I got an S. But then I'd miss the sky view!
