Hi,

After installing a new gear box (involving dismounting the engine) I have now noticed an instrument in the side of the engine next to the dip stick. There is a clear electrical connection point but no wire connected to it. (see attached photo's)

So the questions are;

What is it? (I presume something to do with the oil pressure, however the gauge appears to be working)

Where is the wire that should be connected to it? where does it come from?

Thanks,

Stephen

it'll be your low oil pressure warning light sender.
the wire is likely hanging about under there somewhere...........when you turn on the ignition you normally get a red oil pressure light, this then goes out when you start the car (or it should, unless your engine is knackered!)....very important to get that working:)

Thanks Spiderserie4.....

After pulling on all the wires next to the air filter I found a loose one and all's good now.
