Not today (yesterday), and not my MiTo (thinking of buying), took it to my garage to check where the slight rattle is coming from... was the flywheel for sure, now trying to determine whether it was serious...

Mate mines for sale for £7,195 or close offer and is only done 32,000 milage with extras and runs like a dream mate

I would be interested, but I think from my perspective the steering wheel will be on the wrong side...

Listened to my daughters 0.9 twinair make disturbing clattering noises on start up and low revs during rev build up.. turned it off and left it at home... will need to work that out next week.. opened the bonnet and decided it is not a heat shield.. comes from either top centre or top centre left side near pulleys... .Timing Chain ? Twinair thing.. 62 plate 0.9 Sportiva, 28k miles.. FSH.. bummer...

Check the turbo wastegate actuator linkage. Mine rattles at low rpm. Was really hard to locate.

Mine stops rattling if the visible part of the rod is pressed (don't burn fingers, hot hot hot). My engine is 1.4 MA, but the setup is pretty much the same.

Rod goes from the blue blob along the arrow.

Well, I took it to a car wash, and on the way back blew the turbo 🤬

EDIT: got you confused with the dude with the slipped cambelt for a bit, you were the guy with the oily turbo. Fingers crossed that they fix it up properly

I'm gonna try and drop a few lines here every time I tinker with my MiTo. Just for sh!ts and giggles. It's a white 2011 135hp TCT, bought it in april 2022 with pretty much even 100.000km on the clock. Fourth alfa in the family, second MiTo. Yea, should've known better 😂 So here we go:

I changed the cabin air filter. Ho lee faak what an ordeal. If I ever see the one who designed that arrangement, I'll make sure that person will not make such a mistake again...

I was bored, so I decided to dismantle and clean the crankcase ventilation system: My 135 TCT MiTo

First yesterday: installed the Erisin head unit. Quite happy with it, radio needs an antenna amplifier, and luckily metalgod23 had already wrestled with the CANBUS module, so I hand good instruction for setup of steering wheel buttons.

Cam belt, waterpump and accessory belt change. Well, actually I didn't do it, as I got a reasonable quote with a rental car for the day and 2 year warranty for parts and work. Didn't make any sense to buy the parts and spend a weekend fighting the damn thing 😏

Having a reputable garage do the work also pays off, since I'm prolly keeping this beauty only for one more year 🥲
