Hi guys, I've nearly had my GT for 1 year now done just over 10000miles in it now and it has approached the 80000 mark. After nearly 1 year everything was going so well up until 2-3 months ago and now my wallet feels a lot lighter. So I thought I'd start this thread to see what other people have had done or had to do over the last year. So where to begin first of all I upgraded the stereo to a Sony mp3 with all the correct leads so I could continue to use my steering controls (cost me just over £100) and then the major costs started. New catalytic converter, New clutch slave cylinder, New clutch and fly wheel, New clutch master cylinder, gear box oil change, New battery, New wipers which all has cost me over £1000, oh and yesterday I had a hands-free parrot system installed which I'll get pics up for tomorrow. So yes what has everyone else had to do to their beloved GT

Pub - did you paint or spray on plastidip onto the door handles and do you have any pictures of the end result. Mine are looking a bit grim.

haven't done anything on mine other than keeping it going, wash and wax, fix some CTEK fly leads to it and treat it to petrol each week.

Were the mito heated washers an easy install and how much do they cost to get hold of? Would be ideal in this cold weather and frosty mornings

Piece of cake, just pop out a few of the poppers on the bonnet liner, pinch the old washers and push them out, connector for the heater will be nearby. They were about £20 each from my local dealer.

Do you have a link for the plastidip please?
It's just the spray can, bought it on eBay.

Good luck

What if the current ones arent heated, will there still be a connector somewhere?

Look at this thread

Connectors were there on the GT, can't say for the 147.

Good luck

Had a root about on my 147 and the connector is tucked in the loom near the NS strut turret so just have to run it to the bonnet to use them.
