Don't let the title put you off, it doesn't have to be a full detail, a wash & a clean will do, if the car looks good take some pics & submit them, please include some info on what you have done to the car

First wash of the car after the new wheels were fitted. The car came with 19" Silver quad style when it should have hard the dark QV wheels. Mangoletsi cocked the order up and then took 3 1/2 months to get the correct wheels.

Anyway, needless to say they scratched the wheels when swapping the tyres over, see the picks. So I've machine polished them using a DA and Meguires 83 polish which is very mild. Used a spot polishing pad.

It took a few passes to get the scratches out and then I noticed an issue with the paint. Looks like the primer showing through. Now I'm not sure if I've done that in the process of polishing the scratches out or if it was already like that and I didn't notice. Either way I'm pissed off, for those thinking of using Mangoletsi I'd strongly recommend you don't. They have been a nightmare to deal with. I'll leave it at that as I'm sure people have had good experiences with them.

Understandable that you were a bit miffed (!) and they shouldn't have returned it to you like that, but I do wonder whether dealers do their own tyre fitting or just farm it out to a tyre specialist?

Think they did it themselves as they were refitting the tyres off my other wheels and not putting new ones on. Anyway, car looks a million dollars now! Can't belive the difference a change in colour makes View attachment 929881
Looks great. Are you saying the wheels were right but they were silver instead of dark?
They aren’t just the original wheels repainted in the dark finish are they?

Yes silver instead of dark. They got a brand new Ti in and swapped the wheels between the cars. I would assume (hope) they get the silver ones powder coated in the dark colour before selling the Ti. But anyone looking at a new red Ti at Mangoletsi beware that the wheels fitted to it might not be what they seem!

Funny you should have had that issue...I had the same happen to me 3 years ago with my Giulietta from them. Arrived with silver, not anthracite wheels! They did in the end powder coat them, I rightly or wrongly accepted them as they did look the part and I couldn’t be arsed waiting any longer. Same salesperson isn’t there any more so it figures but no issue this time though with the DARK 5 holes on my Giulia Veloce!

I met a couple who bought a Giulietta from them and having set up the insurance etc with the registration given and expecting the silver they’d ordered were told it was another reg and a different grey paint. Familiar?

Total incompetence. That's the overriding impression I have in my dealings with them. The good thing is I've got an extra long drive now to get my car serviced. Probably go to Beechdale from now on.

Years ago when my mother in law lived near them I went for a test drive of a new 159 . They followed up with a letter saying that usually the test drive results in a sale and why hadn’t I bought one from them. Very odd but why should I when the sales guy told me he was on “probation” with them and hadn’t prepared so we had to drive to where the car was in storage.

Nice weather today so gave her a waterless wash and took it for a spin to get some photos! A V-Dub obsessed colleague of mine told me about an app called Huji (theres also a sister app called Kamon) which makes your photos look like you'd screwed up developing the film in the 90's so i've had a play with that too, quite a nice effect tbh!

You can buy tyre insurance. ALA insurance do it.
I've got it. Can claim for up to 4 tyres over a 3 year period. Cost about the same as 1 tyre on the Quadrifoglio. I've already claimed once and they paid up immediately with no quibbles.
