Took the Spider out for a long run ahead of it’s MOT next Friday. Running nicely, and the clutch feels much better after replacing the slave cylinder last week. Even got the hood down for a while.

So have put up with the small puddle in the passengers footwell so thought lets 'Av a go!
Off came the Wipers & top covers....Phew mucky & leaky!

Then we can peep down to where all the water is spilling to ,ontop the fan & out throught the middle of fan!

Head to see the fan & possible leak zone so off with the Wiper mechanism

So liberal amounts of gutter sealent, a slight modification to the air inlet to the fan & all back together.
Did have one moment when I moved the Wipers & a very shiny penny washer dropped out from god knows where...tracked it down to under one of the supports for the mechanism & jobs a good 'un.... now the boot seal !!

Just back from my local specialist with another 12months MOT, and just two minor advisories, so happy with that result. Roll on the summer!

Spivved up my cover......cleaned, primed, sprayed with Rust-Oleum Metallic Gun Metal ....then red script detailing.

Edited - just noticed......the headlights, slam panel bolts and engine cover bolts all look red!
I haven’t gone mad with the paint......the car is inside a Carcoon which is red 😂

Finally got both the door cards off so that I could clip the inserts in (been held with double sided for I can't remember how long). Pleasantly surprised how drama free it was.

There should be a plastic cover plate underneath the wiper mechanism that sits over the fan inlet and deflects most of the water and leaves etc. It clips onto the metal edges front and back.
