KBO James,
Some new fogs really help to cheer up the front end, you don't realise just how much until you've fitted some new shiny ones. The trick is a thin piece of plastic to slide between the black trim and the bumper to pop the retaining clips without damaging the paint
Looking forward to fitting the fogs, my headlights aren't too bad, so it's just the fogs letting it down

They've gone slightly yellow/misty. Ah, thank you, will make sure to put the plastic between thr trim, I have some plastic trim tools I can use as well.

Another thing I want to is to change the Scudetto as mine is peeling, but I've read that's not a fun job at all!!

Chasing a misfire and dragging sensation akin to running out of fuel so have pulled the injectors in order to send them away to be cleaned/refurbed:

Not sure exactly what the powdery deposits are, but pretty certain they aren't standard equipment! Injectors 3 & 4 took some effort to remove from the head while the other two pretty much fell out, and the o-rings on the manifold end aren't as flexible as they should be. They all have a good coating of rubbery carbony goo at the tip and over the nozzle which is bound to be affecting fuel delivery....
Looks like I've also got a leaking rocker cover gasket which has seeped into and past the inlet gasket at 3 & 4, I suspect this has led to the buildup of crud which made those two injectors harder to remove than 1 & 2. Guess I'll need to replace that as well!
While this is all off I'll give the inlet valves a clean up with Mr. Muscle oven cleaner again - I last did it in December 2019 and they're not as bad as they were then, but since there's nothing in the way it would be rude not to!

Treated it to a good clean and polish today! and cleaned up the light units, and put some gtechniq c4 black plastic trim restorer on some of the door trims. Next is new fog lights, and scudetto (but I'm dressing removing and fitting that!)

Would love how to find out how to get the rear wiper to sit a bit higher up, this is where it sits now

Still a bit of gunk, but that can't be seen much with the bonnet closed.

That looks great James. Every time I see one like this, I regret buying a black car... I always wanted a red one, but at the time, the only Q4 I could find in red had been hand painted...

Thank you :) The black does look great though, and being a Q4 as well!
The black only looks great for about 20 minutes after it's been washed... This is my third black car, I will try really hard not to get another one!

Rear wiper, lift up the mounting cover, spray some lubricate on the nut and leave over night. Next day remove nut and lift off wiper arm and reposition a few mm higher. Refit nut. There is always a bit of slack in motor gears so it might a few attempts to get the right rest postion.

Not today, but yesterday... I took the 159 to NJS in Pershore to have a remap, and EGR valve delete (I wanted to leave the DPF in place)

I have the 2.0 Jtdm, 170 hp was good, but I felt it could do with a bit more, due to the weight. Neil thinks 210hp now, and much improved torque. It really feels it, pulling well in every gear, and does push you back in the seat now.

Before the remap, the car was getting 33mpg normal stop start driving, and main roads, and 40 ish on a longer motorway run. I always felt like that was quite low, for a 2.0D. On the drive to the garage it was doing 30mpg. With the remap and EGR deleted and on the same road on the way home, I got 39mpg, should be even better on a motorway run. It feels much more effortless now.

I think I found my favourite angle today!

I also took the car to "Caffeine and Machine" last Saturday, which I really enjoyed. The Marshall said to park in front of the pub. The 159 seemed to get quite a lot of attention/folks having a look at it, which was a nice suprise. I'll certainly return, great atmosphere there!
