Replaced both my rear shocks...one of which had the spring seat break last week. Simple job with lots of guides on you tube.....they must like extra work though as you don't need to remove all the boot linings (just remove the front tie down points and the side panels will fold back enough to get to the top nuts)...you also don't need to remove the drop links if both rear wheels are off the floor.

Driving to work today i suddenly lost max boost (only went about half way and usually goes right to the max) and gained LOTS of black smoke under load. No fault codes....but a look under the car with my son revving the motor revealed a blast of air from the left intercooler hose. A two inch split will do that! Note my virtually invisible temporary repair!....consisting of a piece of tractor inner tube, some high temp flexible glue and a few cable ties! A quick blast with a few hard revs and I think it will hold until I find another....I hope!

I already have one (the blue and white one)...and so does my son. I was on there on my crosser as a kid! I lost my original so they sent me another a few years back when I said I'd lost it...which surprised me.

Thanks for the reminder - I put a Brera bumper in for paint with the local specialist 2 weeks ago - must chase them up tomorrow and see what state it's in! Going to take a while to build it back up and fit it to the 159 though!

Well I may end up doing the same as I'm not 100% happy with the finished results. I thought I'd managed to fill all the minor stone chip pitting but looking at the finished job the ones I missed seem to stand out even more. Aside from that, the colour match and actual finish is not as good as I hoped for. What sort of cost would I be looking at to have the front removed and done properly?

It's not a bad job to remove the bumper TBH, as I just had to do mine to replace a dropped clip in the headlight.
So you could save some labour by just dropping off the bumper at your chosen paint shop.

Well I've just taken it out into normal daylight and the colour match now looks perfect. The wife thinks it looks 1000 times better on so maybe I'm being a bit too fussy about the finish on a fourteen year old car. Managed to get some overspray onto the bottom grill so will need to redo that.

I can get my front bumper of in under 10 minutes....and have done many times. The masking must have taken lots longer than that and you wont have been able to spray the edges properly where they join the wings or under the grille.....Other than that ...GOOD JOB!

Having watched the video, that probably would have been the best way although looking at some of the screws and bolts, they're all a bit rusty looking and I'd be worried about breaking them off. I assume that the grills can be removed otherwise that'd still need about the same amount of masking. ??.
