I got Tesco fuel (petrol) before - never again.

It may have been a "bad batch" but enough for me to swear off it.
Yep, I've noticed the cheaper brands of fuel in my old Saab do (or don't do) the same job as BP or Shell too. Some friends think I'm nuts, but I reckon their 98 branded fuel is closer to a 95. There's a noticeable difference in performance overall. So much for 'premium'.

Trickle charger? Enlighten me, first time I've heard of this - it slowly keeps the electronics charged over time when you're not driving the car for a while? Genius! Where do you get them from? Do they plug into a normal power socket?

Yes they plug into a normal power socket I have run one ever since I found out that these cars don’t do well sat there not being used, I bought a fairly cheap one called Sreetwise been fine for three years.
I cut the crocodile clips off that connect to the battery and rigged up a typical 12v car plug from the terminals of the battery run it down the side of the engine bay neatly to the front, the other end of the plug to the trickle charger so it makes life easy for me to put it in and off
Care to upload a photo? Thanks!

Any suggestions for where to get 159 door panel lights? Best place to purchase such a DIY product that won't look too DIY? I'd like to do this to mine. Anybody else done this?

I have never been so excited for it to get dark in my life!

Super easy to install, worried it would look tacky but it looks great IMO, super cheap.

ALSO, thought I had 4 puddle lights but turns out I have 2.

SO, I have two more of these to give away if anyone is interested!

Video: Alfa 159 Signature Puddle Lights

Edit: Attached (blurry) Photo as link isn't working.
Yes, I'd like to get some of these too. Where did you get yours from? Are there wires to fiddle around with, or is it more like plug 'n' play?

I'd love your two, but I'm in Australia. God only knows how long they'd take to post down under!

Link is worky for me! That's annoying.

It's crazy how little light it takes to make them disappear!

Let me know if yours are duds and i'll happily send you my two spares.
For the video, I just clicked the link. "Sorry we couldn't find that page" error report appeared. So I search for Alfa 159 puddle lights in the search bar and up popped your video. Looking awesome!

A quick 5 minute search on Aussie ebay site brought these up. Other types are on there two.

Great! Only those particular ones I see come from China... The units themselves look the same as the official Alfa ones yet of course the vast difference in price. Reckon there's much difference in their operation or quality?

Alfaitalia – where'd you get that Italian badge at the front next to your grill? Neat!

As for the puddle lights, I might have to wait awhile. Lost of air Mail is, er, being shipped by sea these days.

Anyone know where I can get one of these sort of cup holder coaster disk things, that slip into the 159's centre console?

Trivial, I know. But it looks nicer than the standard empty nothingness that is currently there.

Cosmetic some might say, but just swapped over the old fuel cap for this nice aluminum one from the Alfisti store.

It actually feels so much more solid, snug and smoother to fit. I never quite got the hang of turning the old plastic one closed. This has become my new recommended mod for all (albeit not cheap).

I'd like to do the same for the oil cap, but they told me that one would only fit the Giulia. Has anyone every tried fitting the aluminium oil cap to the 159?

Has anyone found a good steering wheel cover for the 159 that looks the part?

And any recommendations for car scents that don't smell like a... well like another crappy car scent?
