Hello all,

I am 18 y o and a drive a mint 145 1.6 which i love. I'm lucky enough to have a pretty well paid part time job as well as in college full time, I'm going to uni September next year.

The thing is, i like upgrading my car and i dont want to spend lots of money on a 1.6 when i could sell it for around £2000 (39,000 miles 2000 145 1.6 TS) and get a decent 145 cloverleaf 2.0 TS.

I pay £900 fully comp for my insurance now with Norwich Union which i can live with. I will have 2 years NCB in June but this dosn't seem to help when i've done quotes on the internet, most insurers wont even give me an online quote.

So shall I splash out making my 1.6 a killer or save for a cloverleaf?
Any ideas?

Go for a Cloverleaf, if you mod the 1.6 you will still have to declare them to your insurer's.
Try an independant insurance broker, i find them better as your talking to a real person and in most case's will be able to find a policy that will suit you.
Also there are some realy good QV's out there for not a lot of money, have a look in the Alfa's for sale on here.
