You are right Gibbo; ginger hair does seem to bring bi-polar views forward. People either love it or hate it.

Imagine how difficult life is for me as a ginger haired, vegetarian, Apple products user

;)

PG, sell the Apple stuff, buy bacon. Don't dye your hair.

You WILL recover, given time.

what like?
When I was a youngster I was totally unaware of any ill feeling
towards people with ginger hair. We did think that they may have
the trait of being a bit short tempered but there was no common
desire to mock them.

My stepdaughter and her boyfriend are both ginger nuts and they
are frequently on the end of abuse that can, at times, only be
compared to racism. People shouting at them in the street for no
reason other than the colour of their hair. People informing that
they disgust them because they are redheads.

Tonight our local telly news had the story of a young lad, nine years
old I think, whose mother is battling his school in Yate to take the
bullying that he is subjected to seriously. And the bullying is all
related to the colour of his hair.

I wonder if it's origins are in anti-Scottish sentiment, centuries ago?

 Not much chance of any of that changing.

I've been with Apple for 20 years, a vegetarian for 25 and ginger from birth!

I'm doomed...

It could well be. It would be interesting to trace back to the start of the taunting.

I used to get teased as a child, nothing worse than that. That's awful Gibbo :(

I'm a lot lighter now than I was then; it used to be really a dark ginger colour - gorgeous really.
