Discussion Starter #1
I have been reading through some of the threads and as with all technical discussions it has its own set of acronyms and abbreviations.

Can any one tell me the meaning of the following and what they do:

MAR
MAF
FES
EGR (valve)
ECU
OBD2 cable and where to buy it.
FiatECUscan or Alfadiag and where can they be down loaded

"MAR" is the first position of the ignition key after off (there is: Park, Off, MAR, Start)
"MAF" = Mass Air Flow sensor.
"FES" = FiatECUScan
"EGR" = Exhaust Gas Recirculation
"ECU" = ECU...!

FiatECUScan & AlfaDiag can only be downloaded from their respective websites.
Plenty of cables on eBay.

Interesting thread.

Anybody knw what [LT] means - ie: 2.0 JTS [LT]

??
Depends where you are looking.
In the model descriptions it can mean Leather, ie:
2.0JTS Veloce - to mean a normal Veloce.
2.0JTS Veloce (LT) - to mean a Veloce with Leather.

I paid £12 for a ELM Bluetooth connector. FiatECUScan has connected OK. I have only looked at engine parameters, not sure it will do anything else. Will at some point have another look.
