By a hair. The Maser has it. In my humble and totally useless opinion.

I used to think it was the headlights, but I think it's the bumper that's my main turn-off for the pre-facelift 156. I still think the 159 should have been here instead!

One of my neighbours has a Maser like this. It is a beautifully put together design, but seems a bit too flash for my liking.

I prefer a car to be slightly less ostentatious, with a subtle understated beauty that isn't screaming for attention.

That's why I voted for the 156.

(Absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I drive one :nono:)

The Alfa 159 has it. But as it's not here I've stuck with Alfa, even if it's really second best
Fixed that for you

Anyone get the impression I can be a sore loser sometimes?!
Nah. You've barely even mentioned the 159 not making the cut. Or if you have, it's been overshadowed by the least appealing version of the QP being perilously close to overall victory

Are there plans for other similar polls? I realise I missed the initial "suggestions" thread (sad, but I'd have even suggested the Rover 75...) as we could have estate/shooting brake or hatchback winners... or the random idea I thought of would be to do big brother-little brother (so BMW 3 v 5 v 7, Mito v Giulietta v 159 or Giulia, Audi A5 v A7) ok, so some would be "least worst options" but I want an excuse to say how stupid the A7 looks compared to the A5...

I did the first WCOC a couple of years ago but it's quite time consuming so it'll probably be a while before I do it again.

If you want to do the Audi one I'm happy to vote against the A7.

I must have missed the earlier one. Had a suspicion it wasn't a 5-minute job! I will sort out my work first then see what I can conjure up...

Fixed.

Definite referendum. I was busy holidaying then working and missed the Maser vote. This is fixed because it is an Alfa forum and Russians voted. :judge:

I did see a pale met blue 156 under a clear plastic cover just this week being fixed (it is an Alfa after all). Looked bloomin lovely under that cover and what a colour.

It was the perfect rear I was viewing not the ugly front end though

I suspect on any other forum the QP would have been the clear winner. I do like the 156 but it's a bit like comparing a box cart to a golden chariot.

The Maserati's main advantage is that it says Maserati on it. I imagine that if Ferrari made a dodgy looking saloon car, it would have won easily.
