That is pretty good for creating something different.
Not sure about having a wood grain grille though :vomit:

That was a Japanese creation known as Cubic printing, used for wood and now for bogus carbon fibre effect.

We had an Art/Craft set way back in the 70's where by you floated coloured oils on water to creat your pattern/picture, you then slipped your object to be printed such as a piece of card, plain cup, glass etc. into the water and the pattern/picture stuck to the object.

Your object had to be very clean and grease free for it to work well.

Love watching this beong done. Some of the carbon fibre effect stuff that has been done for dashboard parts etc looks pretty good.

its pretty cool, wouldnt mind doing it to certain parts that are a bit dull on the 159, eg mirors and plastic bits on the windows.

is this something that you can do on your own? and how would parts like mirrors or grilles hold up in the weather/wash
