Due to some very bad experiences in the past I had all water hoses changed.

Now, when I turn off the heating, I have a very bad squeaking noise from the direction of the heater matrix. The sound varies with the revs, not there under 1500 upm and getting louder and increasing frequency with higher revs. I think it's the water tap, because when I turn the heater knob from cold to warm, the sound vanishes.

Any idea, if its just an adjustment prob or is the tap knackered?

I am driving Alfas for more than 23 years now, but the 155 is the worst of them. I am going to sell it now and find something more reliable...its a pity, but I must do it. Its eating up all my free time...

grtz

Well, I still have some hope that the head gasket is still sound, for the water is still clean after one week and it is not losing any water at all...Nobody else having trouble of that kind?
