Hi all. Ive noticed recently, after heavy rainfall, water is sitting in the section where the boot closes. Is this normal? Has anyone else encountered this?

Had this on mine. Was a faulty seal around wiper motor

Had this on my car, I just lifted the rubber seal around the base of the rear wiper and with a thin flat bladed screwdriver I pushed grease under the rubber seal, problem solved. :thumbup:

Yes it would fine to use that, but I just used some old wheel bearing grease I had lying around. I don't think it matters which grease you use, it just has to stop water from getting under the rubber seal. :thumbup:

I'd use a silicone grease as others tend to consume rubber...

Aquarium sealant should do the trick as well. I used it to sort a couple of water leaks on my BMW.
