Back by popular demand after the success of previous sessions. This time, you've got the chance to get your bella all sparkley again after the ravages of the winter season and ready for the Scottish Italian Car Day at Cupar the following weekend, :D . So no excuses for anyone turning up with a less than pristine Alfa that day, :tut:.

The format will be pretty much as before, with washing facilities outside in the enclosed jet-wash area then into the preparation shed for much dispensing of potions (BYOB) and buffing of cloths. If you weren't at the last one, here's a little taster of what to expect : http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/meets-and-events-images/358896-wash-n-wax-11-11-12-a.html

A big "THANK YOU" in advance to their bodyshop manager, John Forret ('johnnytheboy' on here) for once again agreeing to host and organise this event which can only help to forge stronger links between them (the dealer) and us (the Alfa community), whilst at the same time being a most enjoyable way to pass a few hours, :) , so let's try and respond with a good turn-out on the day.

And an even bigger "THANK YOU" to Western Alfa Romeo in Edinburgh for sponsoring this event by providing the prizes for a skills test challenge - full details on the day but there's a clue in Post #14.

So no matter whether you have an OCD like me (and srb71) and think nothing of spending a whole day buffing your bella, or simply want to throw a bucket of water in its general direction and spend the rest of the day leaning on the coffee machine engaged in Alfa-talk (or anywhere in between these two extremes), then this is the event for you.

Could you RSVP to this please so that we know how many bacon butties and brews are required on the day, :)

I'd be interested in seeing what it could do for 8C Red, , - thanks for the offer. Looks like I won't need to worry about what to use on the 159 as it'll probably still be languishing in the workshop at Colinton, :(.

Aimee, Aimee, Aimee!!!!! :tut: :tut: :tut:
So, instead of caressing and cosseting your bella, you'd rather get cold and wet sitting astride a non-descript 2-wheeled piece of Japcr*p,. If it was a 'Duke', I might just understand,.
I do have a Duke, its just a KTM Duke  Though seriously considering a Hypermotard next :inlove:
Zymol Ital on 8C Red should be simply awesome.

Ok, I have just enough to make up samples for those of you who've requested it but that's it, all gone.

Im sure you will be made very welcome if you make it on Sunday. I have never been before either but had a great welcome at other events I have gone along to.

AROC Scottish section had a Knockhill night about 5 weeks ago, and there was an event thread here on Alfaowners, so quite a few came along. I think they need more to attend though to make it break even.

There was also a trackday at Llandow circuit in South Wales 3 weeks ago organised by Andy on the Sports Maserati forum who is also on here. Not sure when the next Knockhill one is but the next Llandow day is in October.

Look up meets and events or images/meets and events.

I'll be along on the day. Not sure what I'll bring yet though. My wife is threatening to come too.
The more the merrier, :D. Everybody welcome, and we've even been known to accept 'honorary' Alfas too if anybody wants to bring one,.

Hope you can make it on Sunday. As CPE has already said, yes we do have track nights at Knockhill as guests of the Scottish Alfa Romeo Owners Club. The next date isn't set yet (probably late August) but keep watching the Events Diary for details as they emerge. Just to give you a taste of what to expect: http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/meet...ottish-aroc-track-night-knockhill-17-8-a.html - all very civilised as everybody has a connection with Alfa, so no chavved-up Saxos and the like.

Just a quick note for anyone that has not been before, just drive onto the premises and around the back of the building, you will see our wash bay open, feel free to wash the car first then drive into the building where everyone will meet up. The arrow on the map gives you an idea of where to go!

Streetmap.co.uk- search results for 309755,672343

Please feel free to share the event on Facebook with any friends who maybe interested in coming along!

As ever, thanks to John and his team for making us welcome and serving up the normal high standard of fare. Good session, great to meet so many people. Many thanks also to Rob for working on my little surprise paintwork issue, not that he needs much of an excuse! Well organised as always, David. :)

Hey everybody, another top Alfaowner day!

Anyone not into their cars would wonder how a 'drive 65 miles to clean your own car day' could be a good day out...it was fab!

Thanks to all involved in making this happen and giving up your time and effort. It is appreciated.

The paint spraying was a laugh and the food was very tasty and appreciated.

A top bunch of peeps having a good banter kind of day.

Fantastic day and superb turnout , think if it had been a bit sunnier would have been a treat to take our gleaming cars for a photo-shoot , maybe next time...Impressive set up in Eastern Western Motor Group with every conceivable tool and expertise to bring cars back to their full glory. Bacon rolls expertly made with plenty of coffee. Very much appreciated ....

A great day was had by one and all, I believe. It was great to see some new faces (and cars) - I hope your first AOSS event met your expectations.

A huge "Thank You" to John and the team at Eastern Western (and their families) for again giving up their day off to host the event (and rustle-up the lunchtime bacon and sausage butties and the brews,) and also to Western Alfa Romeo in Edinburgh for donating the merchandise for the skills challenge prizes - much appreciated, :D.

I've put a selection of photos here: http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/meet...8-aoss-wash-n-wax-19-05-13-a.html#post5340664
