Hi Folks,

I have 3 lights on my 156 V6 Sportwagon dash that bother me... the engine was rebuilt and the car was off the road for about 18 months (2 bent conrods because water doesn't like compressing) and I only got it back a week ago.

The lamps that bother me are the ABS lamp, the brake pad indicator, and the airbag warning lamp.

The brake pad wear sensor is GONE - the stealership simply cut the wire and taped it up on the front left wheel, and I can't find another sensor on the other wheels.

The airbags are connected but I don't know if the error could have been caused by a long-term battery disconnect as the car was down for a LONG time.

The ABS sensors all appear to be in place - could this be cleared by having the ECU looked at?

I'm getting to al the nigglies one at a time (done shocks, done gas struts for the hatch and the hood, new battery, new brake pads - by the time I'm done I'll have replaced pretty much everything) but would quite like to have the dash warning-free.

Any advice?

The brake pad sensor works by completing the circuit to earth via the disc, so it must be making contact somewhere.

The ABS & Airbag need diags plugging into the car to get a clue as to the reason.

So were these lights on before you took the car in? If not then take it back
