I have a red Lusso 2.4 JTDm. It’s got a genuine 62000 miles with a good history and has had lots of money spent. I had a well known Alfa specialist fit a new cambelt, water pump and tensioners less than 1000 miles ago late last year. It’s had a new battery, all filters etc, 2 new Goodyear tyres plus 2 6mm plus premium rears. Absolutely no suspension knocks, rattles or squeaks. Interior is in amazing condition with no wear to the drivers seat and I fitted a low mileage Ti steering wheel but also have the original which is as good as new. it drives and rides perfectly and is economical.
It only has 1 issue which was looked at by the Alfa specialist relating to what sounds like a noisy tensioner. I was advised to change the aux belt tensioner sand that the power steering pump main bearing was slightly noisy. I was told this was common and did not require changing. The previous owner had a new subframe fitted and spent a lot of money on the suspension.
I have purchased the aux belt, new tensioners and a guaranteed perfect power steering pump but these haven’t been fitted.
I hardly use the car as purchased a tow car for a caravan purchase.
Its dead straight with some lacquer peel in a few areas being the only blemish’s.
I paid £3750 mid last year and have spent approx £1400 on it so owes me just over £5000.
I would accept £4000 for what is a very well sorted 159.

If it was going to a good home I could be persuaded to let it go for £3500. I would much prefer another Alfa enthusist had it and looked after it. I am in Cambridgeshire if you wanted to come and look/drive.

Hiya, sorry for the delay, needed to move the car and clean it to take some pics which I will get to you later today.
In addition to what I already listed it has a new EGR, geometry completed on a hunter machine late last year, rear Avon tyres have 7mm and are recent, front Goodyear F1’s have 8mm as only fitted a few hundred miles ago. The coolant system was flushed properly and refilled with the correct fluid.

Pics sent. From my experience looking at quite a few 159’s I think anyone would struggle to find a cleaner more genuine car with genuine low mileage supported by a good history and a ton of expensive work done to ensure the cars health and longevity. If I had the opportunity I would put into hibernation in a humidity controlled garage and keep for the future.

I have just heard back from the MOT centre. I have been told they are really strict which for me is a good thing. It has no advisory’s but failed on one item which I need to get fixed. Service brake below required level. They are going to take a look for me as the discs and pads are in really good condition and no signs of anything untoward. The good news for me was there being no advisory’s and everything else passing.

Brakes stripped down, all good, brake fluid changed just in case, sailed through its 14th MOT with no advisories which is testamount to its condition.
