Desperately looking for an auto gearbox for my Alfa 6 2.5. It has a ZF 3 Speed auto. I'm also looking for the accompanying transducer, inhibitor switch and torque converter.

If anyone has one or can point me in the right direction I'd be most grateful!! Pm me or text/tel 07762068704

Thanks :byebye:

That is going to be a rare thing but you don't need me to tell you that!

Do you have any part of it - bell housing/casing? The 3 speed ZF was used in quite a few cars of the time like BMWs and Volvos so components may be available to put into an existing housing.

I have the same box in one of my Spiders and it is playing up at the moment so is in with a specialist in Harlow at the moment. If I get a good result from them I will send you the details. Maybe he might know of something - he is old school, long history of working with auto boxes.

There's only one man who might be able to help you - Chris Cousins. If you don't know him yet, then you probably will. He runs the Register.

Thanks for the replies everyone, 'hens teeth' springs to mind! The gearbox in Italy looks promising, I'll chase it up. I do know Chris, he's got a later 1986 Alfa 6 but hasn't got a gearbox unfortunately. The fact that the 3 speed was used in other models/makes is a good lead too, especially with BMW's being more abundant.
