Hi guys, I know it's a long shot but I said I'd ask anyway, I had a bit of a tip at a junction last week which leaves me in need of a bumper and a headlight for my 156. The price of new parts from Alfa is astronomical and there doesn't seem to be many facelift models around to scavenge from either. If anyone has the parts or knows somebody with them can ye give me a shout please:thumbs:

That wasnt near little Island by any chance ??

The facelift are are fairly hard to find body parts secondhand for Unless you try autolusso for the parts .
PartFinder.ie - Car Dismantlers, Car Breakers search for Ireland.

There is 3 listed but they are up the country
It was indeed, woman took off from the junction but slammed on the brakes. I was looking to the right to pull off myself and just rolled into the back of her. No mark at all on her car but cracked my bumper and a mount for the headlight too. I have seen the ones on partfinder, there is one the same colour as mine in Monaghan which might actually be worth a trip if it saves painting. Thanks for the Autolusso tip, found a headlight anyway £40 as opposed to nearly €300 new:thumbs:

I was in the red 156 that passed you that day most breakers offer delivery but make sure you get pics of it first to make sure there is no damage etc .

Ah ya that happened to me before and its a pain , Just learned a trick from an elderly Taxi driver , never watch the traffic watch the car in front , when its gone then look at the traffic , you cant hit a car that is gone !

hope you have the motor back to its original state as soon as possible.
