Hi Guys,

Ok so the car I purchased had been standing for like 9 months.

It is very smokey, and the smoke does not dissipate quickly. The smoke is a whitey colour.

I have taken the oil screw-cap off and there is no cream, also have taken off the coolant screw cap and from what I can tell, there is no emissions escaping from there, only light steam.

Are there any other things that may cause this? I just hope it is not the head gasket :(

Cheers,

Danny.

That "whitey" colour sounds like light blue. If it was normal it would only emit wispy, almost like steam, from the exhaust.

Check the oil level on the dip stick. If it's way too high, oil can overflow into the cat. This happened to my previous 156. The only way to cure the smoke is drain back the level and take the car for a long, fast drive to burn off any excess oil.
