I'm about to hand over money to a non-franchise dealer for a 159 3.2 Q4 but before I do, i'm wondering if anyone has any views on using an AA Vehicle Check? I was going to take the car to the Alfa Workshop to have them do an engineers inspection, but I will have handed over the money by then, so too late if it's a lemon.

AA will check the basics but will unlikely check the likely suspects that go wrong with Alfa's. Check the refund policy with the dealer before paying and get the inspection done by an Alfa specialist as soon as you can.
