in the last couple of days i've had the vdc warning light flash at me,its only done it twice and then goes straight off.should i be concerned and what does vdc do?:confused:

The warning light or the "indicator"
VDC warnings are normally displayed
on the centre display.

the yellow VDC light flashing normally
means the VDC or traction control was
activated.

Vehicle Dynamic Control

Like ESP and incorporates the ASR traction control.

Was it being called into play by 'enthusiatic' driving?

mine has been coming on lately, when really cold and at first start up after travelling a couple of hundred yards...tells me to go to dealer...my reaction, turn off, re-start and all sorted...those pesky italian gremlins

VDC Failure Warning is a very common fault, especially when cold and damp !.

Let the engine warm, turn her off and on again.. Ta Da !

mine flashes for fun! especially coming out of roundabouts! just enjoy the fact the systems working mate :)

Sorry to say this - the 1.6 does not have VDC - only the 16v diesel and 2.0 TS has it - mind you some would say your actually lucky.
