Finally got the first head removed. I can't see anything obvious on this bank that would cause my water in oil problem, but I did notice what looks like wallpaper paste in the spaces between the liners. Ideas folks?

I know I have loads of it. This is clear like wallpaper paste or silicon grease.

Rear Head Gasket

Latest update, once I removed the rear head, and let the gasket dry a bit, it was fairly obvious where the water was getting into the oil! I wonder who has a deal on at the moment for gasket sets?

Is there an uprated gasket available for V6's? Like the uprated ones used on MGF's that is a common failure? which I know to my cost :depressed:

That gasket looks horrific. Has old coolent that has lost its corrosion inhibitors been left in?
