Driving today as i pressed the clutch in for a gear change the pedal went really stiff. I released it and pressed it in again and it was back to normal. A few hours later it did it again and now there is a bit of a delay with the pedal returning.

Any idea what this could be, clutch is about 6 months old.

Sounds like the hydraulic system may be leaking/need to be bleeded. Remove your battery tray (3x13mm iirc) and you can see the slave cylinder on the top of the gearbox. Hopefully it will be that which is leaking, as this is an cheap, easy repair. There is a nipple on it which you can turn to bleed the system. If that temporarily fixes it, fault is definitely in the hydraulic system

Could also be a sticky piston in the slave cylinder.
Thankfully on the V6 it's quite cheap and not to hard to get to.

Oh, and yes they feed from the same reservoir.
