Need some help finding an upper hose that doesn't cost me the earth! Anyone found one?

No. Mine did cost the earth, but although expensive for a hose, it solved the problem of smoke pouring out of the exhaust and I was relieved that it was such a simple fix. Got mine from Alfa Workshop for £80.53 (appears good quality, fitted straight on), but Veloces are selling them on ebay for £75.

Be careful as there are a few variations of this hose, at least 3 versions I have seen and they don't interchange. We've recently broken up a few 147 JTDs so we may have the right one for you second hand - give me a call Monday morning with your chassis number and I can check for you - 01582 869 560

I rang Alfa yesterday and they told me a new one was £38 plus vat. Obviously I need to make absolutley sure they are quoting for the right part. If so I might as well get one from them!

As long as they are quoting from your reg or chassis number it will be the right part.

As a temporary fix, you can use Kraken tape (silicon). Has kept mine sweet for a few weeks now while I've been looking for a good price on a new one and sorting some other things. Hopefully getting mine sorted soon at Alfa Tecnico.
I've also been told a bit of spare hose and a couple of jubilee clips will get you by, but I've not tried it.

I ended up getting one on order from Alfa. Only £40 delivered. I am just waiting for it to turn up, I am sure it will be the wrong part! :lol:

LOL as predicted its the wrong part!!!!! I need the top intercooler pipe not the turbo!!!! Anyone had one of these before?
