Just thought I'd share news of what I've done to upgrade the pipes on my 166 super. When I looked at her before buying you could see that the front downpipe had been flattened, presumably by a speed hump or suchlike, and that the middle and back box were rotten, so I knew money would have to be spent. Decided to use Powerflow as I had had experience of the system Douggie had fitted to his 164 and was impressed. Settled on two front/downpipes, a 400cc sports cat, two boxes and a standard looking tailpipe. Only downside is that it turns out the tailpipe should have had baffles in it as the one I choose, on looks alone, is causing a hell of a resonance which can be felt as a vibration throughout the car. Getting this changed tomorrow so will see how this works. Otherwise a MASSIVE improvement in performance. Low to mid range is much improved. Once the right tailpipe is fitted will give definitive verdict on sound quality.
