Hi... I'm on the lookout for a 156 2.0 to purchase whilst I'm in the UK, probably worth about £2,000 to £2,500. In Australia I have had a full no-claims bonus for about 10 years, and no accidents etc but I am wondering whether anyone can suggest some insurance companies here in the UK that would:

* insure someone from Australia
* somehow take into consideration my NCB from Australia

What are my chances? :)

Norwich Union and QuikFit both accepted my Australian NCB. I just had to provide the certificate from my australian insurer. You'll just have to ask when you get your quotes.

Most will consider NCB earnt elsewhere so you shouldn't have any probs......

A friend of mine just renewed his insurance with his existing company (Elephant)during the confirmation of details it became apparent he was down as being a UK resident holding a French license, he corrected them and they changed it on the system to a UK resident with a UK licencse and guess what.......... his premium went up !!!
