28psi is for nothing specific ...It's what i have allways gone with for all year round driving. Front & rear

According to the handbook 195/60/14 is right and should be set at:
Front 2.2 bar (32 psi)
Rear 2.0 bar (29 psi)

However, discussions on here indicate that tyre pressures are a very individual thing, dependant on tyre choice, size, driving style, suspension setup etc. For example, i run a higher pressure on the rear than the front to compensate for shot shocks ( )

So best to set the pressures to the handbook spec as a guideline then change and compare from there.

The handbook I've got doesn't list the 8v's but this is for the 16v...should be near enough:

185/60/14 or 195/60/14

reduced load (2 people)=f.32 r.29
Full load=f.36 r.36

They are listed for the 1.8 engine so perhaps put another pound in the front and see how it feels.

But now we know that the 2.0 8v and 1.8 16vs are meant to run the same pressure for 195/60/14 wheels.

Nope the 2.0 8V, 1.8 8V & 1.8 16V all use the same pressures for the 195/60x14 tyres ;) ;) ;)

I run the Silverstone at 28psi and the V6 at 40psi all round ;) :D :D
Cheers Speedy, I've been running at 33/31 - will try 28 as it's felt a bit too light
