39 psi (2.7 bar) is recommended. But it depends on your suspension as lowered cars like mine feel perfect and others say to hard with normal set ups.

2.7 Bar front & 2.5 Bar rear is the correct pressure for the correct 225/45R17 91Y tyres

Even though you have the wrong size, use the right pressure!

E-learn states 2.7 bar all round and 2.5 bar for rears for winter tyres only, but it is alfa so it may be wrong.

39 psi seems very high. The wheels came off a Brera with a 10mm adaptor plate and 5 good tyres so may drop to 45 profile when they need changing. Running at 30psi at the moment so will give the higher pressure a go.

E-learn states 2.7 bar all round and 2.5 bar for rears for winter tyres only, but it is alfa so it may be wrong.
My info is from the Nov 2006 166 Owners Manual.
It also states: "With winter tyres the pressure should be +0.2 bar higher than the rating specified for standard tyres."
