Hi can anyone advise me on a good local garage to do a cambelt change on my Alfa 147 (selespeed) at a reasonable cost witout ripping me off i'm living in fife in Scotland.

McLennans Garage in Loanend Edinburgh get's outstanding reviews and is very highly recommended .....wee bit away from you but think it would be worth the journey ...:)

A skilled Alfa mechanic should do the job in 2 or 3 hours with coffee breaks parts at £121 excluding variator,including water pump (a must ) labour at garage rates. Independent around £40 per hour main dealer probably double.

Would second McLennans. Depending on where you are in Fife, CP Garage in Dundee also seems to get good feedback on this site, although I haven't used them myself.

Great Garage

Took my 147 to them and fixed my selespeed pump problem promptly, new pump and bits including time £380 good value and my 147 is going great now.:)
