How did she perform?
Let's say I had a couple of brown trouser moments :cheese: It would probably be an understatement to say it was slippery, and the gentle understeer I get on the road was transformed into snap oversteer  Not the best weather to do my first ever lap of the 'ring, but managed to keep it on the black stuff. Good fun all round I think :)

NOTHING is like your first trip there.

Great pics - it's been a while since I've been but those images bring it all back and make me want to go again very soon. :D

The Oct. issue of Motor Sport magazine has a Ring feature in back through the years from page 44 to page 62 minus 4 pages of adverts, many pictures including one of the car park from 1979 which has a yellow Taunus with a black bonnet stripe and an orange Mk1 Escort with a matt black rear bumper, there's also a green Sud surrounded by a Fiestas, a Manta B and whatever the pre-W123 Merc was called.

I like the pic. with the rain spots on the lens, and the one on the track looks good too.

How many laps did you do in the end? I've always been meaning to go and now that I have a proper car again maybe I'll finally get round to it (shame I'm short of two cylinders now though, should have gone in my 156...)

How was the 3.2 Q4 around the ring? I'd really like to fly down to Germany sometime in my life, hire and car and just go blast aroudn the Ring once in my life...

Is the Q4 3.2 really as slow as people make it out to be?

uh uh, first lap at the Ring on wet... now, that IS an experience :D
My first time has been this august with the Spider, was cloudy but dry (except for a sprinkle during the second lap).. Nice track isn't it? :D

It's lacking power for it's weight which is it's main problem.
Possibly not for the first 50 laps or so at the Ring :D then it does become a problem :D
