My 147 was on 16" Alloys and all tyres were wearing evenly etc. I have now got 17" Alloys fitted , do I need to re track the car with these wheels on, original tyres were 205/55 16 and new tyres are 215/45 17???

I think they will wear like the old mans 147 ie an inch on the inner part of the tyre will wear away. You need to be swapping front to back to get the most outta tyres.

My 16's wore evenly , swapped around just before I got the 17's and all the 16's were worn very evenly, Paul in Gyles Drake commented on it

Who where haha?? Ya the 16's should wear normally. But never seen an 17" tyre ever wear right on an Alfa even the 156 is wearing the inside of the tyre.

Best Tyre Man in Whest Cork

I'm not surprised with the tyre wear on the 156, it grips the road like nobody's business :cheese:

As the young boy said.

Ive had a few all 17's.

The cast and camber is factory jobby and 147's standard wheel is 16.

All my 17's wore the inside inch after 7k miles.

But you DP are the owner and perhaps they have fixed this on facelift.

Then again mine were 01 & 02 so a little older than yours.

Ti is wearing on inside but imho not as bad as before.

8k miles on her since purchase so am well pleased that the tyres are okish:thumbs:

My 05 pre-facelift was also on 17"s & it did wear the inner of one of the front tyres. I got the tracking checked & that seemed to help but hard to tell as it was already worn & i only put a few k more on it before it was written off

Also standard wheels back then for the Lusso were 15"s AFAIK
